Provide a Safe Learning Environment & Double Your Impact in 2024- Matching Challenge!
Every child deserves access to quality education in a safe environment where they can succeed. In many rural villages though, populations are growing faster than their schools can accommodate. This is the case in Ndiédieng, a large village near Keur Socé which is asking Andando for our help.
Ndiédieng Primary School was founded in Senegal’s colonial period and most of the classrooms haven’t been updated in decades. As buildings crumble and become unsafe, classes must be combined, becoming more and more overcrowded as enrollment continues to rise as well.
Over 600 students study here in cramped and unsafe conditions exposed to the harsh conditions of the Sahel. The school also lacks ANY functional bathrooms, making health and hygiene a major concern for children and their families.
With your help we can build two new fully equipped classrooms and a new bathroom at this school early next year! This will help to reduce class sizes, ensure the health and well-being of students and faculty, and give children in this remote village a better chance at a brighter future for years to come.
100% of donations made during our Year-End Giving Drive will go this THIS project!
Today, I ask for your support to give the students of Ndiédieng, and other partner schools, the resources they need to succeed!
Education is a key component of Andando’s “Whole Village Approach”, and our efforts together are transforming opportunities for thousands of students across our Keur Socé and Podor regions. Improved facilities help to increase enrollment and reduce absenteeism while innovative programs like Andando’s STEM teaching garden at Keur Socé High School are providing an unprecedented level of practical hands-on education helping to prepare students for university programs and job opportunities.
From now until December 31st all contributions will be
MATCHED up to $20,000!
$100 will buy a new desk and school supplies for two students, ensuring they have the conditions and supplies needed to succeed
$250 will install a potable water tap providing clean water for drinking and hand washing for 150 students.
$500 provides sanitation facilities for 50 students allowing them to focus on their studies uninterrupted.
$1,000 contributes significantly towards building a new classroom, reducing overcrowding and enhancing the learning environment for 600 students.
On behalf of our entire team and partner communities, thank you for supporting Andando. We are deeply grateful for your partnership as we provide the resources for the people of rural Senegal to lift themselves up and make a better life for themselves and generations to come.
With gratitude,
Garrison Harward
