Local Engagement

We recognize that the needs and desires of our partner communities must guide all aspects of our work. Direct participants, local government, and community leaders must always have a seat at the table when decisions that impact them are being made.

Inclusion

We strive to hire staff from the regions in which we operate to build local capacities and make our staff representative of the populations we serve. All of our programs are inclusive to women and girls, along with all ethnic and religious groups in Senegal.

Sustainability

We approach all partnerships with the knowledge that our assistance is fundamentally temporary. All projects include plans for independent community management without relying on future Andando support.

We believe in cultivating trust based on transparency and results. We value our donors, partner communities and staff and understand that trust is earned through actions, not words.
