Garrison served in the Peace Corps in Senegal as a Sustainable Agriculture volunteer from 2010-2012 near Andando’s Keur Soce base of operations. He is an Alumni of California State University, Chico where he studied theater tech and has worked in that field as a master lighting technician for theater, film and television in New York City for almost 10 years. He is a passionate advocate for urban agriculture in NYC and founded a celebrated local farm that provides free produce to the community of Crown Heights. Before coming on board with Andando, Garrison served as a Red Cross volunteer deploying to disasters both locally and across the United States including to Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria, and to California wildfires. He joined Andando officially in 2021 as the Agriculture Officer, after a year of volunteering as an advisor in that capacity and assumed the role of Executive Director in 2022. Crystal volunteered at a trade school for young men and women in Malika, Senegal from 2008-2009. During this time she would regularly travel to Keur Soce to assist with some of Andando’s earliest projects, increasing water access for remote villages outside of Keur Soce. Crystal continued volunteering with Andando after she returned from Senegal. She earned a Masters Degree from Oregon State University where she studied Communication. With over 10 years of fundraising experience for both international and domestic nonprofits, Crystal came on staff for Andando in 2018 where she has served as the Development Director.
