Double Your Impact in 2021!
So much has been accomplished for the people of Senegal this year. As 2021 winds down, it’s not too late for you to make a difference. Now through the end of the year your gift will be MATCHED - doubling your impact!
We would like to introduce you to Racky Ndiaye, from Lamarame, Senegal.
Racky is working hard to provide for her family in spite of the recent death of her husband. Mother to eight, Racky lives with her three youngest children in Lamarame, a small village near Keur Soce.
She has participated in our market garden program for many years and is a well-respected member of her community. She was voted by her peers to serve as the President of the Lamarame Market Garden Collective. While the garden has benefitted Racky and her community greatly, she is now taking on added responsibilities
When asked about her children, Racky’s face lights up. She proudly tells of their accomplishments and how they too are working hard to support the family.
Her hope for the future is through her children; she uses the income from the garden to slowly build a sturdy brick and mortar home with a metal roof for her family. She hopes one day her sons will get married and by that time she will have completed the construction so they will have a place to start a family of their own.
Because of her hard work and drive, Racky has already overcome many obstacles, but she and her family still face an uncertain future and need your help to truly thrive.
They can succeed if provided opportunities to continue to take initiative and build their own future. You have been willing to walk beside so many like Racky, together to make these opportunities a reality.
Today, I ask for your support so that we can continue bringing
these life-changing programs to the people of Senegal.
$100 provides books, paper, pencils, and other school supplies for a dozen students for the entire year.
$250 stocks a health post with medical supplies, giving local midwives and nurses the tools they need to keep their communities healthy and thriving.
$500 provides desks and other classroom supplies for 15 students attending high school for the first time.
$1,000 provides all the seeds for two gardens, feeding over 1,000 people annually.
Despite this being a challenging year for many of us, including our partners in Senegal, we had our most impactful year yet! With your help, we hope to do even more in 2022. Thanks to a generous donor, all individual gifts will be matched, up to $40,000 - doubling your impact!
With gratitude,
Lewis Kiker
Executive Director
PS. Your generous donation is tax-deductible. Remember to give before the end of the year!
